Misleading email titles from Internet marketers
I receive many emails every day.
I have subscribed to many lists by Internet Marketers.
Unfortunately, what it means is, I receive a lot of emails with misleading titles.
Here are some examples :
If you open these emails, you might see statement like these :
Or, you get an email with a misleading "from". So instead of receiving, say, an email from phmoisan, the from would be :
What do you do when you receive these types of emails ? Do you unsubscribe ? Or do you let it pass because you do receive interesting info from that person ? Or, do you respond "I cancel " to let the person why you unsubscribed ?
Feel free to share your point of view and experiences here.

This is the most important email I have ever sent

LOL Cheryl, I realize I didn't write my statement correctly. I meant, you can use many techniques in writing your headline or email title to get attention. Like I said, if you receive it because you're on the person's list, I can't see how I would go to jail. Am I wrong ?

"any technique is good to get some attention"
I've got some suggestions! I've got 12 years worth of attention grabbing techniques stored in my brain. However most of them will land you in jail but they will get you attention! Just let me know if you are interested. LOL!

@Tony, if you receive it from a safelist, TE mailer, or as a subscriber to a marketer's email list, it's not spam. Someone told me after reading the blog that any technique is good to get some attention. I'm still wondering what I will use for an attention grabber. Something ethical but efficient. It's not easy, knowing many if not most IM people receive hundreds even thousands of emails every day.

That kind of mail is SPAM SPAM SPAM, I get it but I don't even bother to open it. I have learned over time how to "know" what mail is spam or junk. I'm pretty sure I'm 99.9% accurate.

I think they would lose plenty of members but people need to make a choice of Quality vs Quantity and I'm glad Apsense is heading in the right direction on that one.

@affiliatemoney, lol, Warren, for a second I didn't realize it's you, you've changed your picture. :)
In response to your comment, I wonder how many members they would lose if they didn't allow for misleading headlines. :(

I understand that we don't always have time to do so but I wish everyone would report these.
I report at least some of them,there is too many to do all of them.
I laugh at the safelists and Ad exchanges who claim people shouldn't do it but still send the emails.
They wonder why they have inactive members and bouncing emails, you reap what you sow

@Cheryl, about plagiarism, I guess they all believe they will get rich in 30 days at ApSense by using that practice. Maybe some did. I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror at retirement.

@Ivan, I think I never saw "Hey stupid". Good one. LOL Well, maybe not so good. The headline, I mean. :)

@Nickey, I wish I knew. I'm as confused as you.
@Paula, thanks for reporting the abuse.
@Louise Venison, Louise, I guess I better edit my blog. I meant emails I receive because I'm a subscriber. IMHO, these emails are not spam, I asked to receive info from them. Maybe they are spam, I'm not a law expert. The practice is unethical, for sure.
@Meris, glad it helped
@Jose, I gotta learn Italian. Or is it Spanish ? No offense meant. I really have no idea. Gracias is Spanish, I think.

Hi Philippe, when i see something like "Notification of payment received" i delete it. I should report it as spam, but there are lots of emails from safelists that have such a subject... Cannot be avoided, so just ignore it.

ps I just remeber, i got several emails with a subject "Hey stupid..." ( from one of the biggest list builders)!

Yes she's been slammed with reports, for those who do not understand why look up the word plagairism. There's a lot of that going on around here.

@soniya shrma I hope you're happy you got the credits. As Paula said, you took a part of my content to post a comment. I hate that practice. I see it too often. I know, I know, it's so fast, no thinking. Sigh... I reported you.

I see this daily as well, but usually it from the safelists i subscribe to. No way of controlling what you get there, and you do get credits for viewing.
But if it is from a certain person i subscribed to at a blog or service that is trying to push something else my way that has nothing to do with what i subscribed for in the first place, i will unsuscribe without thinking twice. Shows unprofessionalism from his part, and i don't do business with that kind.

I use safe list in my marketing efforts. So, I receive a lot of emails each day. Senders are trying to capture your attention so they will go to extreme measures. It is hard to come up with original Headlines so I like to give these people a break.....
