Don't Spam me Bro
I have seen quite a few really uninteresting posts lately.
Some are total copy/paste and others are nothing but a link.
Copy and Paste
I think the idea behind copy and paste maybe that the copywriter did a better job than what the poster could do however:
1. This is not necessarily true, some material is not even spell checked
2. Your own words will most likely sound more natural and better to the reader
(Think of telemarketers who you know are reading a script, horrible!)
3. Search engines hate duplicate content (why is yours better than the others?)
4. Formatting matters - a web page is not a blog post is not a tweet, etc
Location, Location, Location
1. Post your material in a related area otherwise your target audience won't see it
(and the people who do see it probably won't like it)
2. Don't post Spam in a Rules area stating "Don't post Spam"
(actually saw that today)
Spice it up a bit
1. Post a picture to catch the viewers eyes
(Spam can would be good here but that's Hormel's IP and I don't have permission)
2. Try something with layout, this isn't my best work but at least it's not a wall of text

Reverse marketing is illegal girl it' no less SPAM than the first message. It's also NOT Effective, despite popular thought, 90% of all SPAM is automated when it comes to e-mail format meaning you send back to a system that used a fake e-mail address and spam the person who the e-mail account really belongs to or, you find it never even existed and get a bounce back message. Bounce backs on commercial mails are where you end up with Yahoo and them reporting you to the proper authorities as a spa

Well we can always reverse market the spammers. I don't get angry any more when I get spammed, I just start chatting. Especially on skype. I also have a special gmail address I send people to with their spam - it spams them right back

It's not just rules they are breaking. It's International law and fines and jail time are in their future if they are reported and caught.

Everybody wants to promote their business where ever it is and to do so they don't realize that they are breaking rules... they hardly care about spamming. There are many people who don't even know what spamming is. I hate spamming

great post...I think some are in such a hurry...and just don't want to take the time to rewrite anything! I can be guilty of that sometimes...but I try very hard to keep things original and personalized.

Sorry the only spam I like comes in a can And I don't even LIKE that. Yep the nice thing about 2.0 is the zero tolerance Spam policy. There's two very serious spambusters doing admin duty over there and In the immortal words of Homey D Clown ask either one of them if spam id tolerated and they will say "Homey don't play dat!"
To me spam shows someone hasn't got a clue number one or low no ethics number two. A well written blog tells a story and gives the prospect something to sink their te

I'm going to start using 2.0
This reminds of people trolling forums. I don't mind if the forum is off-topic but don't trash the main forum. The spammer's time would be better served by asking some questions and getting help, it would be better for all of us. The sad thing is the help is here, just ask someone

Good post. Fact is when you write it and write about the things you like, the reasons you joined, and the result you have personally attained it comes off as a testimonial or endorsement and not as an ad. We tune out ads with ad blockers, Spam blockers, and Tivo every single day but still listen to that word of mouth or recommendation of a friend. That's why social media is so darned effective.
SPAM is pure idiocy to begin with, the ethics of it destroy trust. Fact is it can take 20 million S

copying and pating without credit is called plagerizing. Last time I checked it was against the law. However, they have to catch you. I frequently use another ad as an example and reward into my language. My language is usually more personal.
I appreciate the reminder.

It is unfortunate but it you want totally spam free then you have to use the 2.0 (community). They try it on there but it is 3 strikes and you are out.

Thanks both of you,
I can tell this place wasn't meant to be a Spam mill like some Business Social (B.S.) networks out there. It just makes sense to try and help keep it that way.

Well Said Warren Like this a lot mate! Always good to try writing at least 3 quarters of the content while adapting everything you might need to copy into your own words!
