How to cloak Your affiliate links for free

Hi in this blog I intend to demonstrate how to cloak your affiliate links.

What I'm talking about is taking a link like this http://instantblogsubscribers.com/vip/RestoreLife and turning into something like this http://123restorelife.com/ViralBloging@itsBest

Okay there is one essential thing you will need and that is a website of your own and not a replicated site. If you haven't got your own website yet then I highly recommend  Namecheap.com - Cheap domain name registration, renewal and transfers - Free SSL Certificates - Web Hosting and for your web hosting you can get that for free by utilizing the TWR system.

Once you have your website name and hosting sorted here is what you need to do.

  1. Create a new folder in your root directory. The name of the folder is what people will see in your link so make sure you name it to something relative to what you are promoting.
  2. Then create a file within the new folder and name it index.html
  3. Then copy this code and paste it into the index.html file you created within the new folder
    1. <html><head> 
<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">
<meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0; url=Put your Affiliate link here'> 
</head>
</html>
  4. After you have done step 3 you are set. All you have to do is post your new link http://yoursite.com/newfolder to the site you want to advertise on.

Hi Nancy the URL link you have there is for creating a hyperlink within a web document for people to click on with a site you have access to or can modify. With what i have written it is to create a link to be posted onto other peoples sites like FB twiter blogs advertising paces ect ect.

Here is an example.

I'm confused - how is this any different than just using a html code and do the same thing This is the code that I use and what I like about this one is that is will open my page up in another window so the person never leaves my original page. JMO Global NPN

Thanks for posting, this is handy info and it's nice to control it yourself. It also looks more professional if you're links are branded with your domain and not some cloaking service domain
