My statement is based on the tendency we have to idolize and glorify the wrong people. Celebrities and athletes are admired glorified and well-compensated. They simply offer entertainment.
Teachers like Law enforcement and military make meaningful contributions to our society through passing on knowledge or protecting us and the trend is to poorly pay them and many times vilify them. That is what I mean by not getting the recognition that they deserve.

As a retired Educator, (38 years Teacher, and Administrator)I concur to some extent. That depends on the administration. Mine were always applauded and recognized.
