When taking a plane journey to a destination far away, you will think of the food that you will be getting on the plane and if that would fit your liking. The food served is usually made of a common liking of people of all nationalities. Air-Flights do not carry just one nationality people in one journey. As the food habits and choices are diverse, airlines have come up to a solution of having 2-3 choices of styles of food served. Continental, Asian, European, these are the three choices which are given to people when traveling over many countries to reach a destination. Low cost airlines sometime just serve water and no food at all for short haul flights. Carrying your snacks along with you would be the best option. What is served in the breakfasts and lunches then? We shall see further in this article.

Breakfast- Breakfast is served with a lot of caution as many people do not eat certain things early in the morning. Some Asian people do not have meat in the morning and prefer a full vegetarian breakfast which would consist of fruits, fruit juices, bread butter jam, cheeses and raw vegetables like cucumber and carrot, etc.

The continental breakfast which non-vegetarians are served includes beacon and eggs, pancakes and sauce, peanut butter and bread. There may be a choice in the bread, like whole wheat bread, ginger bread, etc. An Asian breakfast may include dosas and idlis, curd rice and pickle and may be tea and coffee. For people who feel the food is bland, extra salt and pepper sachets are provided along with the meal.

Lunches- An ideal lunch would include heavy food like chicken and mutton patties with bread, mashed potato and salads with fruits, fish salads, pasties and pies for dessert and alcoholic drinks if required. Wine is also served if you want it.

Lunch- Lunch is a meal which is usually served on long haul trips. Lunches can tend to be heavy again will be as per the origin and destination of the trip.

If the plane is traveling in USA or European countries for long haul journeys, then the food would comprise of beacon, baked fish with mild sauce, salads with fish like salmon or chicken in it, rice, bread, juice or soda, a desert like apple pie, chocolate mouse, etc. When the journey is through Asian countries, the meal would comprise of rice, chicken fried or steamed, noodles, beef and some beverage.

Everybody convenience and an average tasting food is prepared. The food is usually of the frozen style which is heated before the plane leaves the origin airport. Not much of cooking in done on board. The beverages served are alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic. Wine, beer, Whiskey, Rum, and Vodka, all or some may be available on selected air-flights.
