My Dad my Hero, mentor and now he is gone

My Dad my Hero, mentor and now he is gone.

Yea it has been exactly one year when l wrote this article..........and when it happened...not a really good week...........Life is filled with obstacles, you just have to learn how to deal with them..........we all suffer differently............sharing my pain helps..............if you have lost a loved one then you will understand why l wrote this...........please leave a reply......it helps!!!

I have been a way from Apsense for a while, dealing with something l hope no one ever has to go through. My father became missing on Wednesday of last week and finally seven days later the police located his body, badly decomposed as sad is it was at least our family got closer, not many families get that and have to live with not knowing what has happened to their loved one.

The seven day waiting period was the hardest time l have encountered in my life, not knowing where he was or where he could be, was mentally stressful beyond any words l can use to describe how l felt as well as the rest of the family and friends of ours. The pain will have an impact on me for a longtime and l am now finally trying to get back to my normal life, not going to be easy but time will cure the pain and makes me a stronger person.

The service and support we got from our friends, families where absolutely life saving you really have no idea until you go through this process of support. It helped comfort and made me strong for my family l don't think l could have gotten through this with out that support. I just like to thank all of my friends for their generous and over whelming support we got from them all..

He is now gone and in a better place, no more will "HE" have to suffer or have to see another doctor, hospital or any of that. He was very ill, most of his organs where failing and according to the autopsy report he would not have made it pass August of this year.....The cancer had spread beyond repairable.

I just wanted to share this moment with all who read this article and l certainly hope it helps you with something you had to deal with in life we all suffer and grief differently from one another. What makes us all so very special how we handle success and grief is our true colors of our make up. Yes it is not easy writing this article but l feel better doing it....

All The Best,

Joseph F. Botelho

I do not know all the pain you have gone through but I do know some of it. You are in my prayers and know that someday the pain will ease and on that day you will once again be able to feel the love and caring he had for you through the memories of the times you shared.

And I also know that two very special ladies were probably waiting there to welcome him home.

I'm truly sorry for your loss, I, to have just this mo on the 6th lost my younger brother, due to a boating accident. I just felt the need to let you know "You will see your Dad, and all your lost loved ones again in the Resurrection"! Acts24:15; John5:28-29
Please take the time to read these scriptures and I promise you, you'll find some peace in knowing they are asleep and you will see them again. Daniel 12:2
