From the definition in the Wikipedia: ?The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that interchange data by packet switching using the standardized Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP)."Thus, the Internet is defined by the TPC/IP standards.The Web, on the other hand, is defined in W3C's Architecture of the World Wide Web, Volume I as follows: "The World Wide Web (WWW, or simply Web) is an information space in which the items of interest, referred to as resources, are identified by global identifiers called Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI)." Thus, the Web is defined by other specifications. The first three specifications for Web technologies defined URLs, HTTP, and HTML.What does it mean that

 Tim Berners-Lee invented the Web?Tim Berners- Lee wrote a proposal in 1989 for a system called the World Wide Web. He then wrote the first Web browser, server, and Web page. He wrote the first specifications for URLs, HTTP, and HTML.

 I don?t know it is all a bit much for me all I know is that every day more and more ordinary folk just like you and I are finding an increasing need to go online. Now that?s a good thing you see the internet freeway is full of information and misinformation although the benefits are enormous.

Whatever needs or desires you have it can be found in an instant, anything from travel to groceries from home shopping to money and computers to clothing including baby needs to fashion.The needsforu is at your fingertips and its? safe and secure saving you time and money More retail outlets are realising this is the future and are scrambling to get on the freeway offering savings and discounts and monthly specials passing their savings on to the consumer.This article does go on to say more but lets? face it do we really care as long as it worksAnd we reap the rewards.Until next time
