There are many special events that require cause for celebration such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, stags parties and coming of age parties are simply just a few. Yearly holidays may prompt you to celebrate with a party, Christmas, Halloween, New Years could prompt you to get make your own party balloon decorations. You could always make and give someone some balloons just to brighten their day.

The first step to any party undertaking is planning and budgeting. This is where you can streamline any party plans or get as elaborate as you want to. You can determine the cost of everything and finalize every detail. Quite often doing all the decorations and most of the food on your own can help to eliminate a vast majority of costs and give you a little extra for other things.

For each balloon arrangement you will need at least four 11 inch high quality pearlescent latex balloons, the colors can be whatever you like and 5mm matching ribbons. Clear cellophane cut into 50cm x 50cm squares, two 5cm x 25cm strips of white tulle, some fine grade arid sand and a plastic or metal ring 1.5cm in diameter.

In addition to that you will also require an eight centimeter circular cardboard cut out wrapped in foil and the top half of a plastic soda bottle that has been washed and dried. Extra decorations may be added such as metallic confetti and either some tulle or paper doilies to set upon the tables where the balloon arrangements will be placed. These extras may be omitted if it is not in your budget to add them.

When you begin, you will want to partially blow up one of the balloons with your breath to help stretch it and then allow it to deflate. Next, take the balloon and place its neck over the neck of your funnel. The sand will easily pour into the balloon, you will need it to be the rough size of a tennis ball. Remove the funnel and put the ring over the balloon neck, you will need to ensure it is securely tied into the knot when you knot the balloon.

On a flat surface lay the cellophane out and place the cardboard circle on it, followed by the sand-filled balloon. Cut a pair of small slits into the tulle and then place it in a x over the ring. You might wish to cut a v into each end of the tulle to give it a ribbon like appearance, it helps to make it look more elegant. Cut a piece of ribbon roughly 60cm in length and gather up the cellophane. When you have gotten everything in place secure the ribbon around it just below the ring. This allows you to tie the balloons to the ring. You may elect to decorate it with more curled ribbons if you so desire to.

You will need to fill the balloons with helium, for this you may just be lucky enough to find a place that will fill the balloons for you. While this is not usually the case you may wish to purchase a disposable helium tank, these are usually around fifty dollars. There may be coupons that you can get or discounts that will lessen the price for you. This may be a very practical solution if you are planning on making multiple arrangements, if you want to make it yourself, or if you have other parties where this would come in handy for as well.

There is no incorrect placement for the balloons however most arrangements have a staggered appearance. You may wish to emulate this, and to do so you would need to place the second balloon just beneath the first and the third just beneath the second and continue until you are satisfied. Although many party balloon arrangements consist of three or for tiers. You may continue to add curled ribbons to the helium filled balloons to make it look enticing to the viewer.
