composing songs and lyrics
Hi all, so how many of you have tried to or successfully written lyrics that have been used by artists of any standing? or even composed the music for someone else's lyrics?
My blog is the chicken and the egg scenario in as much as do the lyrics come first or the music?
with my own attempts, albeit amateur/hobbyist i find the lyrics come first for me provided i have or have been given an idea/scenario. as for the music alas, i only bash out a few basic chords and develop the vocal melody around it! sweet and simple (just like me....lol)
I would be very interested to know/hear from any other hobbyist musicians like myself who may be interested in some kind of online musical collaboration
