Swom New Social Network Affiliate System

SWOM or Super Word of Mouth is a hybrid free social networking site/ network marketing concept which officially launched midnight March 1 2010. SWOM aims to bring like minded, business orientated individuals (mainly internet marketers and network marketers) into a world similar to Facebook, Twitter, etc where people can discuss marketing strategies and also promote their business.

The concept behind SWOM is interesting and shows potential. They are promising people the opportunity to fuse SWOM's 'powerful' lead generation and training system with people's existing business. This all occurs in a space where people are able to network with like minded individuals who are potentially looking for further opportunities. This is where the strength of the concept lies. They are attempting to solve the problem that the majority of internet marketers/network marketers face- the lack of a powerful, duplicatable system which attracts people to their specific opportunity.

Another strong point about SWOM is the development of a community. By leveraging off the knowledge of different members, SWOM could become a useful free information resource and become a thriving learning ground for newbies.

Looking at the SWOM network marketing concept, members can upgrade from their free membership to a gold membership for $25/month. Gold members receive training and tools for lead generation and mass duplication. By becoming 'distributors' members are eligible to receive monthly commissions. Some food for thought however....

1. The community could possibly become a dead network overridden by spam. SWOM promises to keep a clean environment by utlising a double opt in strategy. However quality control is difficult and in the early stages of SWOM, I have already seen many members using SWOM purely as a space to spam other users. Such an unpleasant environment could become very unpopular fast. Given that gold members are paid commissions based on referrals to the system, the success of such a business relies on the reputation of the network to provide valuable and useful content to its members in a relatively spam free environment.

2. SWOM has also given no information about their leaders or the people who have engineered this concept. It is imperative when choosing to joining a new venture to practice due diligence and find out how competent the company owners and leaders are. No matter how good the compensation plan is, incompetency and poor decision making by those on top are likely to lead to company failure.

3. Such an environment could easily become saturated and cut throat, making it incredibly difficult to establish yourself as a leader and to stand out. This is especially true in a network where everyone is paying to receive the same training.

4. Technical issues could be a major problem if they do not have the team to deal with problems swiftly. This site has the potential for major traffic, but a slow network could definitely impede business given SWOM's unique circular plan pays you to interact with team members.

In any event everyone has the ability to rock with any opportunity (including SWOM) provided they have at least these three characteristics:

? An entrepreneurial thirst to learn and to evolve with the internet marketing industry
? The ability to internalise and personalize any training they may receive in order to stand out from the crowd.
