Getting The Most Interesting Bedroom Furniture Beds And Other Furniture

by Guy Blatter
Now that you have the room all completed with new wallpaper and and area rugs, it's time to find the bed of your dreams. Deciding on one of the many bedroom furniture beds and all the linens to go with it can be quite the task. There are components to choosing just the right bed and making the linens go along with the rest of the room as well. These individual parts include; color, space, budget, and theme. Keeping each of these in mind will help you to find the perfect combination for your bedroom.

Budget

Just like any other type of furniture, beds come on all colors as well. Most frames are built of wood, but there are also frames made from steel and plastic. Wood being the most common type of material for constructing beds, is often stained instead of painted. This is especially true when using wood of high quality; walnut or mahogany. These are two types of wood that are very heavy, sturdy, and dark.

Desired Theme

Themed rooms refer to decor from a specific era, such as Victorian, Renaissance, or Contemporary, just to name a few. There are beds that are advertised as being a specific type of style, in order to help you choose one that fits the decorating you've completed in your bedroom. Finding a bed that fits with the theme you have going on will make the whole room come together better. For example, if your bedroom is decorated in Victorian designed wallpaper and laced curtains, you probably won't want to put in a blue steel bunk bed. A canopy bed or a sleigh bed might be much more fitting.

Space

A room with a theme to it, such as Renaissance, Victorian, or Contemporary, often need to have a bed that compliments the surroundings. You wouldn't place a white plastic bed in a room decorated in a Renaissance style, just like you wouldn't place a gorgeous sleigh bed in a room that has more of a Retro look. Finding bedroom furniture beds that bring the whole theme together can take some time. If you need ideas, most catalogs and stores will display beds in rooms that go along with their design. You can look at these displays and see which one might be closest to your own bedroom.
