Protect Your Garden From Garden Moles

Garden moles are the most dangerous threats that can spoil the beautiful look of your garden. They are also dangerous for your vegetation. These garden moles are generally found in tunnels as well as in dirt mounds, but they will attack the lawns that your garden has. Hence, if you want to maintain the look of your garden, it is important to get rid of these garden moles.

Using Castrol oil is also an excellent repellent to get rid of these moles. In order to apply castor oil effectively you have to water the area and its surroundings thoroughly. After you spray the oil, you should again sprinkle the water on it, so that the oil will settle in the soil.

If you notice the old trail expanded or a new trail formed, inspect the end of these trails for a slight movement and you will be able to notice the mole working at the end of the trail. Now just stab the shovel behind the working area. This will block the moles from escaping back down to the trail.

There are many people who say that the flooding of the moles from their tunnels will not work. In this kind of cases, simply insert hose into the tunnel and wait until there flooding, see if you cannot catch this little bugger. You have to locate as many as holes and tunnels in your property and find the tunnel, which is used by the moles frequently. You can find out this by destroying a tunnel that you doubt, if the mole fix it again, you this is the tunnel, he likes. Now, it is your chance to place a trap here to catch the mole. By pitching shovels in the front and back, you can catch him easily. 

Placing live animal traps in the tunnel is another way to get rid of the mole problem.  These mole traps are very easy to create. First, you have to dig into the tunnel, place a large jar or a coffee can into the tunnel. The container that you place should be level with the floor of the tunnel. Now, cover this tunnel to keep the sunlight out and check the trap twice daily. As the mole passes by, it slips into the jar.
