Convert Childrens Room Into A Land Of Fantasies..
Are you decorating a room for your baby boy? It’s lots of excitement. Especially if your baby hasn’t been born yet, the room-decoration is one of the biggest joys associated with the anticipation of having a baby. You’ll have many ideas surrounding you, tons of design books, and many ideas to consider. And since you’re a parent, we know there are chances you’ve probably spent many hours fondly imagining what the room might look like. And when your son finally arrives into this world– well, he’ll be too small and tiny to understand the room right then, but we guarantee he’ll love the bright colors. When he’s bigger, he’ll give you lots of warm hugs for creating for him such a wonderful room. If you’d like some basic ideas, here they are – how to play around with, for your kid’s room decor.
First and foremost, you need to fix upon a theme. What kind of theme would you like? More importantly, what kind of theme do you think your son would like? You are spoilt for choice, with so many different kinds of themes available for a kid’s room decor. You could go for a Nature theme. There would be a wall mural on one side of the room, depicting a scene from a forest – a few birds, trees and animals. Buy a bunk-bed, and take this good idea – buy artificial creepers, and have them wind up around the bed post.
Look around in stores for artificial leaves as well – they’re freely available too, if you think your son would like them. Buy furniture in earthy shades of brown and green, ditto for the curtains, wallpaper and drapings. Remember that love and care will make any room look nice. Another theme you could try is Comic Characters. It’s well known that all children appreciate cartoons – and you could have wall decals of different cartoon characters. The list of cartoons you could have in the room are endless - DeeDee and Dexter, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, Porky Pig, Tom and Jerry.
There are loads of different kinds of stuffed toys available in the market – pick out nice cartoon-themed ones, and fill the room with them. You could also go for a cartoon scene-themed mural, flip through catalogue books that offer such a theme, and make use of the nicest one. Try the Outer Space theme as well – you’ll get a kid’s room decor that’s stunning and unique, both at the same time. Buy a hanging solar system, dangling right above your baby’s crib – this will amuse him, and studies have shown that these eye-catching colors and the movements help the baby’s cerebral development. Go for a Planets and Stars – themed wall mural.
Implementing the theme is the next task, keep specific things in mind. Involve an older child, listen to his/her suggestions regarding artistic interest and colors. Emphasize the room’s theme and the kid’s room decor, shop for fabric and wallpaper accordingly. Decide upon the focal point of the theme – perhaps the study-table, the bed or even a particular wall. Plan the room so that there’s space for book-cases, wardrobes, wall pictures and a bulletin board upon which your son can display his artwork, once he’s all grown up. And now it’s time to start decorating!
