Image The secret to successfully selling something is to disguise it into something informative or entertaining so that people don't realize that it is a sales pitch. The target audience will be lured to the valuable information that they can use or the entertainment aspect of the product/service. Satisfying people's needs, demands and wants involves doing market research and knowing your overall audience as well as who to specifically target to.

A good salesperson knows their target audience well. Do your market researchof the demographic statistics on society. Create short simple surveys, and either hand out in a crowded public place or read the survey over the telephone, to collect demographic information. Put short surveys on your websites and profile pages, as well as go into a chatroom and ask people questions. Take notes. Analyze your statistics to answer the what, who, where, when, and how questions. Then go to different areas and perform your sales pitch.

Go to different areas, meeting people, socializing, passing out businesscards and brochures, and demonstrating the product or further explaining your service. Also, create videos, websites, profile pages and promotional postcards to further inform others of your product/service. Give them valuable information they can use. Also, give some useful freebies with your logo on it. And if possible, make it an entertaining, exciting and memorable experience. The keyword here is public relations. Dress and act laid back and casual as to not intimidate anyone, although look and act professional, clean and respectable. Exchange emails for further communication so that you can follow up. Or, give out website links for people to check out and tell them to contact you via email with comments about your website.

From time to time, check on your progress. Analyze data gathered through emails, one-on-one interactions, and different internet sites. Change your marketing tactics according to others' comments and emails because you are trying to satisfy as much demand, need and want as possible. Listen to others and always strive to improve.
