Solihull is a large town in West Midlands of England 9 miles away from Birmingham city extended in a area of 182 kilometers. This name was given by the local passengers or passers by s the city is very soily with dirt and mud. Silhillians are referred as those who are born in this city. Solihull  is considered to be to the most popular city in England with an estimated population of more than 94,753 according to 2001 census.

Solihull was established in medieval periods with a name called Market Town which means a legal right to establish markets or trade centers. Touchwood comprises the only John Lewis department store in the West Midlands as well as 80 other stores, over 20 restaurants and a Cineworld nine-screen multiplex cinema. Touchwood is located at the center of the town available from junction 4 and 5 of the M42 motorway, and the centre includes 6,000 car parking spaces".

Touchwood is established in the midst of the city from where one can easily access to Library Square, Solihull Central Library and Arts Complex. You can easily access to number of stores like Apple Retail Store; Next the world's largest electronic goods manufacturer; John Lewis the number one apparel designer; River Island; French Connection; USC. Some other malls for food and beverages include Starbucks; Pizza Hut; Costa Coffee. This mall also has some branded sports wear companies like JD Sports and Republic and Sports World.

The government is planning to establish some other shopping malls across the city. One is Mell Square which is been constructed in the middle of the town under the name of W.Maurice Mell. Mr Mell was the town planner who is remembered for his services. The gentleman was responsible for the demolition of certain century's years old properties. These properties were owned by Mill Lane and Drury Lane. Mell Square is estimated to be the biggest shopping mall after touchwood. Estimated to attract more number of visitors than touchwood.

Expansion of population and rapid increase in demand for companies to establish their business centers in the city have increased their trade and business activities. This is expected to grow further in the coming years where the city is planning to add some more shopping malls, cine complexes, restaurants and providing a platform for both the local and international market.
