If you can relate to this title, then I'm speaking to you!  If you can't directly relate, then you may have a business partner/associate/colleague who can!

Many of us who haven't yet made it to the point of being able to "fire" our jobs must still rely on the 9-to-5 to pay the bills.  The unfortunate thing about this is that we may often find ourselves
mentally or physically tired (or both!) after putting in a long day's work.  When we find ourselves in this place, it's sometimes difficult to put on a smile and be cheerful about our various causes.  In my case, I'm sure my prospects would sometimes see this blood-shot eyed, low-energied human being  approaching them about my incredible business opportunity!  Likely response--"If I'll look like you, thanks, but NO THANKS!"

I recently had a discussion with my (business) workout partner, Norm, about this very scenario.  He suggested and edified this book titled The Power of Full Engagement by Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz, and discussed how these co-authors teach/train that in order to be "fully engaged", our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energies need to be in balance.  Being in a mentally demanding job (I refer to it as running 90 miles-per-hour all day!) I needed an answer to my constant mental fatigue!  In their book, Mr Loehr and Mr. Schwartz liken the corporate world to professional atheletes who actually need to have sustained focus for 8 or more hours daily!  Their simple (yet profound!) techniques, including just taking a break from your work every 1 1/2 to 2 hours have made a remarkable difference in my energy levels!  We can't manage time (time management is a misnomer); but we can manage our energy so we can be fully engaged with the time we have!

So...if you find your mental or physical energy isn't in check, I HIGHLY recommend getting this book from your local library or for your own library!  :-)
