WHAT IS YOUR BODY TELLING YOU?

What is your body telling you?

There’s a lot you can say about your body, of course—from “I’m

too fat!” to “Check out these abs!”—but there’s a lot your body

can say about you, too. Yellow fingernails are a warning sign for

lung cancer and diabetes.  By falling out, your hair may be

telling you that you’ve got an iron deficiency. And there are

plenty of reasons why your doctor wants to get a close look at

your tongue. It’s a good idea to listen to what your body has to

say—your good health depends on it.
In Chinese medicine they believe that the tongue actually

reflects all the diseases of the body. Physical or emotional

trauma can cause a change in the hair. The illness or stress

sends actively growing hair into a resting phase, and a couple of

months later, all those strands in the resting phase may fall

out.
Also, it’s possible for an under-active thyroid to cause both

dry skin and brittle nails. Nutritionally, a diet low in iron can

cause nails to become thin, brittle and easily broken (eating

more green, leafy vegetables, red meat and eggs will help boost

your iron intake). Biotin supplements (a B-complex vitamin)

Certain medications—like blood pressure drugs, antidepressants

and histamines—can slow down the GI tract-resulting in

contipation. Your body needs to  avoid as many drugs, as

possible especially those 55 and older. The pharmaceutical
companies are pushing their  drugs like the man-on-the-street
corner, along with many perks for medical participation. This will
be my next subject to address in the near future!

So for now , Cheers and remenber, the key to a vibrant healthy

you is paying attention to your body and watch for your body

clues. Take good care of your body it is where you "Live"
