Yuwie Hype, and empty promises
I was drawn here by someone talking about Yuwie, and I had to add my 2 cents. Please understand that this blog shows my opinions, and are based upon actual use of the Yuwie website.
Did you fall for all the Hype around Yuwie? I did...
We've all heard that Social Networking is the next big thing. Most of us (Myself included) jumped all over Yuwie before we realized the downside. The payscale is horrible. The vast majority of people there are making nothing, or maybe a few cents (Yes, Cents) per month. None of us will be retiring on a few cents per month.
Also, you have to have views to get paid, so we all send and receive as many friend requests as we can, until we have friend lists thousands deep, and no one talks to each other anyway. A thousand friends you never talk to is less useful than one that works with you as a teammate.
We are marketing everything backwards. Why is Myspace so popular? Well, for one, the people there are actually having fun. They are exchanging ideas, interests, and just hangin out. So why do we keep marketing these sites as business opportunities? Bringing people in, and driving them nuts with advertising and spam? The process should be much simpler.
Social Networking MUST be "SOCIAL".
Yuwie could have been a great site, rivalling even the giants of social networking if it was handled correctly, and people could have made some money (though for anything big, the payscale would need to be fixed) That being said, I think Yuwie is already too far gone. There are too many people stuck in their ways, and I think the potential has been lost.
But.........There is still hope out there...
Small sites, and relatively new sites can learn the Yuwie lesson. And we can learn from the mistake. As I said earlier, the pay scale needed to be fixed. I have found a few sites that seem to have corrected this problem. and One in particular (while marketing oriented and prepared to create wealth) is still small enough to maintain a "social community".
I, for example have created some Disney clubs for our Disney Cast Members to hang out. A forum for Disney fans to exchange stories and pictures, and just generally get to know each other. Perhaps you could create a group or groups around your own interests. Something you could enjoy, and make money on at the same time.
And there's an added bonus in all this....
If you've already made the big mistake in social networking, then you already have a group of people who need you're help. People who are unhappy with the empty promises, and looking for a better way. Lets get to know each other, work together, and offer these people the help they so desperately need.
...But I found a way to make the best of Yuwie, and I'll show you how too...
If you managed to avoid Yuwie, or always thought it would not live up to the hype, then Congratulations. You managed to avoid the effort, but may have missed the lesson. The same lesson I hope Im showing you now, and the same one that so many Yuwie members still need to learn ...And so, after all that negativity, it does provide a platform where we can teach people to do it right.
Because of that, I would say that joining Yuwie can be used to your advantage, as long as you know that it will likely never be a significant or direct source of income. Join, and spread the message of where it went wrong, and how we all can correct it. Help your teammates, your friends... don't just abandon your team like so many others do, but rather help them grow (which will help you grow)
If you understand the difference between "social" networking, and yuwie, then you can use those very lessons to make money. Not only for yourself, but for your entire team. And better than that is you can actually have fun doing it. The original dream Yuwie wanted to fufill, can finally be accomplished (though it takes a different approach and a new generation of social networking. Can 6dgr be the start of that revolution? I Think So, but we need Your help.
Once you sign-up for 6dgr, Message me. I want your success as much as my own, because they are one and the same. Let's work together to do it right, this time.
So what's the bottom line??? Yuwie can be an interesting tool to develop your business, but must not be the heart of your business... Some people may disagree, and thats okay, but if you'd like to see my plan in action, drop by my site and join us @
See ya there.
