The key to getting more traffic to your blog

Is to build links to your individual posts instead of your home page.   That way of linkbuilding takes a little more work but gets more traffic for 2 reasons.  First of all it ensures all your posts will be indexed in google.   Secondly many of your posts will get get a higher pagerank which will further increase your traffic.  There are several ways to get links to your posts.  The easiest way is to bookmark your post.  Another method is to rewrite your post and submit it to top article directories such as ezinearticles.com, isnare.com, buzzle.com and ideamarketers.com.  You can also participate in some forums that are related to your post topics and create a link in your signature.  Not only will your blog get more search engine traffic like I have already stated but you can get some good direct traffic from all those links you build.
