It depends on the poll you go by, but it's reported that 50% to 60% of Americans are planning to skip vacation this year.

Before you decide to do the same, consider this:

Lack of recreation affects both your health and your job efficiency.

Just like lack of sleep, lack of play or recreation has a negative impact on your ability to think clearly and act decisively, affects your general resilience and ability to ward off infection, and makes you cranky and critical of others.

A relaxing vacation has the ability to rejuvenate you and make you much more productive when you return to work. It is not a luxury. It’s a necessity.
