A SIMPLER LIFE!

IS IT POSSIBLE TO REALIZE A SIMPLER LIFE IN TODAY'S WORLD?

The keyword is "World". We are subjected, and inundated by world wide news, conflicts, disasters and ever increasing technology that makes our world smaller and smaller.

Definition of a "Simpler Life" to me is financial security. It allows us to keep and maintain a home, a stocked pantry and freezer, a reliable vehicle with a full tank of gas. It allows us to be debt free with a few good friends to socialize with on holidays and special occasions.

It seems to me that very few people in today's world are able to enjoy my definition of of a Simpler Life. I don't believe that our Country is self sufficient any longer. Our dependency on foreign oil is of prime example. We can not control the price of this oil, so we pay and pay and pay! Gas prices directly influence the cost of everything else, i.e.., food, clothing, building materials, travel and household goods.

I ask you; where will it end so that this Nation can reform to a Simpler Life for the majority of it's people? Unless the non-elitists of the Country take a stand and unite to demand a Government that has the backbone to start initiating change in that direction, instead of cowering to special interest groups and their money, foreign leaders influence and their money and work towards a self reliant Nation, I'm afraid that the Simpler Life may be gone forever.
