GEORGIA TRUCKERS ARE STRIKING APRIL 1ST! Let's get it Nationwide!
Folks you may not think the strike for April 1st means anything to you. Or you may think 'what good is it going to do'? Well, first off if we don't get this spread around...the impact will not be as great as it should. Ronnie and I run loggers that are about to lose everything because of these gas prices! These truckers are what keep us moving. Here in Georgia the Forest Industry is the biggest here. And if they park....it will have an impact! We all post funny, non-important issues.
Please repost the strike on April 1st!
Here is an excerpt on a comment made by one of the truckers.
' We are convoying to Atlanta on April 1st in the early morning. We encourage each and everyone of you who are tired of 3 dollar eggs & bread, 5 dollar milk, 3.30, gas & 4 dollar diesel to come join us, instead of getting on here whining and moaning. We are fighting this fight for everyone, not just loggers, log haulers or truckers, but each and everyone of you. EVERYONE of YOU, is important to us and our movement. We are fighting for lower fuel prices, which will lower the prices of everything we consume from Paper to eggs and milk. We also, as timber harvesters, need a raise to coincide with higher operating costs.

It has been rumored in the past of truckers to strike..and nothing happen. This is happening on April 1st...and will be NO April Fools joke!

That is exactly what he has done, at the expense of 4000 brothers in Arms. It makes me sick. A US soldiers life for Oil, hidden by the veil of fighting Islam Fascism. Bush and his Regime of Goons, really thinks we are all so stupid.

Darrel, that is the point. Nothing will happen if everyone sits and says....what will happen, and not do anything!
I know nothing about trucking, but I know of the hurt it is causing to you guys. And what everything is causing for my family and I. I have 5 kids that LOVE to eat. And LOVE to take trips. And it is either STARVE...or lets go 50 miles. Which is to nowhere here in Georgia!

I am a trucker here in Tuscaloosa, Al tonight. My only question would be What is a shut down going to do? Send a lot of folks in the factories home because there no parts to assemble ( Just in Time Freight) Could we take the shut down time to go to our Congressmans office and let them know where we stand. I have already done this on my own time. Maybe suggest HR-25 be enacted. Maybe some waivers on the polution controlls on our existing refineries. Un cap some of the existing oil wells th

Remember the good old days when Sadam Hussein was pumping out oil out of Iraq like there was no tomorrow? Gas was a buck and a half. Now Bush and his Saudi Prince Boyfriend have shut down all the wells there....worked out good for them at least, sucks for the rest of us.

Yes, it is a very serious issue. And I look forward to what is going to happen. They are planning (all the truckers) lining up at a certain exit...and truck it down to ATL.....

As with everything else in the economy... The price of fuel affect folks everywhere, whether they drive or not... $3.50 Gas = $5.00 Gallon Milk= $3.00 Bread= $2.50 Eggs.... and so forth and so on, and on... In the midst of all of this, our very USD is dropping in value, here and abroad...
This planned strike should not only be supported, but there are a whole helluva lotta folks who should be gearing up to join 'em....
