...with network marketing.

98% of the people in networking marketing are selling something.  The 2% that are not (who coincide with same 2% that are successful) do just the opposite.

Your product and service(s) should be something that you 'tell' people about. You want to represent a company that gives off a nice little impression when you talk to people about it.  That way, you can have an 'ongoing conversation' with other professional 'long-term' Network Marketers.  The only people that have 'any' overnight success have a huge network of people that, at the drop of a hat, jump on board whatever 'next great thing' you happen to come up with.  Those are the overnight successes.  They are few and far between (happens more than you would think though) because everyone is 'arguing' about their product, company or service is the best thing since sliced bread.  Selling, instead of telling.

Find a product and service you can tell people about to set yourself up for the next great thing.  Find a market that is unique, so you will give off that nice 'impression' which will allow you to have that ongoing conversation with the network you are trying to build. Build your non-monetary network, while you are building your business at the same time.  Have 'two things' going so to speak.

Tell, not sell.

Build it big.
