Flush it out of your life!
Let go of what may be holding you back. Flush it out of your life!
So many people carry unnecessary baggage with them slowing down their journey through life.
There are numerous stories, fables and even scriptural reference to carrying unnecessary baggage and having that baggage prevent us from achieving or attaining certain things.
So could there perhaps be some baggage holding any of us back from succeeding in Network Marketing?
Let’s take a look at the various types of baggage we could have that might be holding us back.
This is actually a success principle: “Get rid of what you don’t want to make room for what you do want.†We all have physical stuff and emotional stuff that must be eliminated if we want to move ahead unencumbered by massive energy drains.
A good rule of thumb is that if you have not worn a piece of clothing in over a year then toss it out; give it to the Salvation Army or Good Will. Most likely it is already out of style anyway. What about all the stuff in the garage? Consider eliminating by selling or giving away anything you have not used in a year or more. There may be a few exceptions such as jumper cables and your tools, but a lot of your stuff that has not been used in the last year most likely will not be used in the next ten years either. So get rid of it.
A good example is when hikers decide to hike the Appalachian Trail. They fill their back pack with canned foods, extra snacks, camp stoves, extra flashlights, extra batteries, and bottles of energy drinks. After laboring for the first day under the weight of the heavy back pack they begin to evaluate what they really need and what they don’t. The next thing you know, they are eliminating all the things that weight the most and are holding them back. They meet other hikers along the way who tell them that the sugary energy drinks will only make them thirstier, so they eliminate them. They learn they can make a fire and do not need the camp stove. This is evidenced by the stacks of these items in the shelters a day’s journey from the trailhead. These hikers lighten their load so they could travel faster with less effort.
I use these physical examples to illustrate what may also be going on in our life emotionally. Just as our closet and garage may be filled with things that we do not use or of no value to us, so is our mind filled with stuff that is not only of no use to use but may be negative and holding us back.
So what are the negative things in your life that may be holding you back?
Is it a bunch of negative friends telling you that you can’t do it?
Is it your old negative self telling you that you can’t do it?
Is it the memories of previous failures that are causing you to believe that you will fail at this as well?
Well it is time to get rid of all the baggage that is holding you back.
