Important to Marketing
I have been trying my luck at marketing for quite a few years, now. To no avail.
This was due to the lack of knowledge about advertising.
I thought if I just put my site out there on the Internet with my items I had for sale, that miraculously people would come and start shopping. Boy, what a dreamer I was.
Little did I know that 7 long years later I would learn the art of advertising, was that I had to get my rear in gear and do the promoting and advertising. Sites just don't get out there on their own.
No one else can get out there and do your advertising for you either. I learned that lesson when I spent most of what I had left of my money to an agency who was going to shoot my site to the moon. Yeah, right..the only thing that went to the moon was the charge they put on my account.
I didn't know Traffic Exchanges existed, nor did I know that you could blast your ads out in Safelists.
I have learned a lot these past few months, that I had never known about marketing, and one of them is that with teamwork, you don't feel so alone when you are learning the ropes about businesses. I suppose the more heads that get together the better, starting out small with only a couple of heads is a good thing too.
I am hoping that one day real soon, I can post here that I have finally succeeded in my Marketing Ventures.

I guess the main answer in business online is finding the right places to advertise and just work it. So much of getting traffic is free, and easy. I'm learning and having fun doing it.

I agree, marketing is the key to getting REAL traffic. There are NO SECRETS, the "secret" is how much traffic you send to your site.

I agree wholeheartedly, team work works. In teams you have support. Even just someone to bounce an idea off. I also think its the best way to learn is off those actually doing it and really doing it not those that are faking it.
