All these guys that set up these programs understand that there are literally thousands and thousands of people who are only too willing to part with their precious cash on some hope of instant riches tomorrow

Earning online is about finding out what people want, and then go right ahead to try and provide them with that

The Niche

The second thing you need to understand is the "niche". This is a small but targeted area, of the market, which has a smaller audience. Because these people are more "targeted" to a specific theme or "keyword phrases", then they are far more likely to buy your products, if they fit the particular niche you are supposed to be targeting

On the internet there are literally millions and millions of websites - many providing something very similar, especially in the home business "niche". For you to stand out, and get any kind of listing that anyone will see, on the search engines, you have to target a "niche" or 2/3-word keyword phrase e.g. "nutritional health supplements". Now if you did a check on the search engines for the keyword phrase "business opportunity" or "work from home", or "make money online", you will find that there are already millions of websites - meaning that you have next to no chance of getting your website listed among all that lot!

So what you do instead is find a "niche" or 2/3-keyword phrase that is not already swamped with other websites. As an example I have a horse ratings website which is listed #6 in the list of sites on Google. This means I get traffic to my website every day without any advertising - in fact I don't advertise anywhere, because there is no need. Google do such a good job of sending me traffic, and making me sales, that there is no need. But - I am no guru! You can do the same if you find the right niche, instead of just plumming away among millions, trying to build some downline of free members, who can't get traffic to their sites, and who never pay anything because like you they can't find a way to be successful either!

Traffic

The third thing to understand is traffic. In particular try and avoid what I call the traffic "trick" - the idea that you can sell ice cubes to eskimos if only you get more traffic. This is a well worn trick that many website owners who want to sell you traffic throw at you, to get you to part with your hard earned cash. Eventually you will discover that such traffic is worthless, but the providers will tell you that their "terms" state that they don't offer any refunds for substandard products

This is the great traffic trick. You see you don't need thousands and thousands of hits to sell something. All you need is targeted qualified visitors - these are simply people who are looking for what you have on your website. There are literally thousands of people out there who are up on the internet 24/7 looking for a product or a service. However they will never find your website about business opportunities, because you are listed 483,841 out of 53,487,211. Hopefully you can see its better to be listed 6 out of 800,000 as my horse racing website is rather than somewhere so far down the list that no one will ever see you

Get your Own Website

Of course all this pre-supposes that you have your own website. Without you own website and an email list linked to an autoresponder, I'm afriad chances of success are ZERO - yes really! When you promote an affiliate website, without having your own website, apart from giving away your affiliate code, so that people can join without you getting paid for anything, you are also just promoting someone elses website - you are just giving nice free advertising to your merchant or program owner!

So the top and bottom of it is you must have a website, and it must be "niched" to a 2/3-keyword phrase that is less competitive and therefore there are less sites in the index for you to "fight" against when getting a listing

Affiliate Programs

There is no better way to earn genuine income from home every month, than by using free to join affiliate programs. Don't make the mistake of just trying to promote "home business" ebooks or software, because all the other home business, work from home people know all about the affiliate scheme you are a member of, and if they want to buy they wont think twice about knocking off your affiliate code and replacing it with theirs

However - suppose if you promoted your affiliate products and links to people who wouldn't know what an affiliate link was if it hit them in the face? Did you know uncle joe public trying to find information about tips for his golf swing, or holidays in spain, has not the faintest clue what hop.clickbank means. I know, and you know, it means, if you click my link I get paid and you lose, because you could have bought the product using your own affiliate code, and pocketed the 75% commission as a bonus. But - joe public doesn't know that, so can you see that promoting business opportunity, work from home products, is going to be alot more difficult than selling ordinary products from another niche or theme?
