What made you pick the business you're in?
This question has been asked of me a lot lately. It seems many join online businesses for the promise of instant wealth, believing all the hype and the promises that they will be out of the Rat Race instantly, and in a mansion by the end of the week.
Several years ago, I started looking at ways to make an income online. I had just gotten pregnant with our first child, and like most moms, I wanted to stay home and be June Cleaver. I learned pretty quickly that there wasn't anything more to the hype than the words printed on the screen. I have joined business after business, affiliate program after program. It finally dawned on me that it wasn't that they businesses didn't work, it was they didn't work for me. I have crashed and burned soooo many times. I still believed that there is a living to be made online, I just didn't know how to do it.
I quit looking for a long time, content to wait tables (the money really is good in that line of work!!). I wan't content with not seeing my family enough. During the school year, since I work evenings, I saw my kids 5 days out of the week for only 30 minutes in the morning. That time was spent yelling "get your shoes on, you are going to miss the bus" and signing papers and filling lunch boxes (my ONE homage to June Cleaver). I was sitting around online one morning after the house emptied out, playing around online, and this ad showed up in one of those google adsense columns about loving to read. I clicked on it and it took me to this BookWise site. I kept going back to it for about a week. I did all these searches online trying to learn about it, made a list of questions and sent them out to about 6 different Associates. I got a few responses trying to get me to sign up with them, so I picked the one that was the most helpful and signed up with her. I haven't looked back since!! I have managed to go down to 2-3 nights a week instead of the 5-6 I was working. It's been a big change to our family too. The kids are happier that they have more of my attention, my husband's happier because he no longer feels like a single father. I choose to work online for the same reasons everybody does. I finally chose BookWise because it's something I LOVE, books.
I believe having a business you love can contribute greatly to your success with that business. I have joined make up companies when I don't wear makeup, kitchen and home decorating companies when I HATE home parties. I even joined that one "wellness" company that doens't like their name to be said, and that one caused ethical issues for me. I didn'y love any of those companies or their products. It's kind of hard to sell something you don''t love.
So what makes you do what you do? Do you love your company?

sonyareads, what you said its true : " It's kind of hard to sell something you don''t love."
In actual fact, you shouldn't sell something you don't love. if you yourself don't like the product, how are you going to convince others to try out the product?
Yes, maybe they might try your product due to the attractive price or prizes, or maybe even the business opportunities. But can you ensure repeated sales from them?
But of course, how would you know whether would you like a product with

Hi Sonya,
Awesome! Great to know you have something that You are passionate about and that is working for you.
Without going into great detail...I only join programs that truely are in alinement with my so-called sense of morals and ethics. I absolutely need to be able to get into contact with the people behind the company if need be, and last of all I join with people I know, Like and Trust. My challange for anyone looking to obtain success, ask yourself what your true passion in life

Choice of business depends on one's business acumen and skills. My approach has been to study the matter carefully because popularity or trends do not insure success of the individual.
I also rely on the advice of persons who have succeeded in the field of business I'm interested in. Don't listen to guys who love to talk (and mostly criticize) but have not performed.

I was lucky. I was able to find an opportunity that complimented the career field I was in at the time and one that also allows me to truly help people with the important problems in their life. I don't think theirs anyone over the age of 18 that hasn't had a legal issue in their life.
Everyone at some point has signed a contract. Everyone has had a merchant dispute. People get profiled, innocent people spend a fortune to prove their innocence. So just being able to help them see they ha

Awesome Blog and question Sonya!
This, my dear, is the most important thing of all is to do what you LOVE!! That is the secret to any success for many reasons. How can one give up on something they love? I think you have found it and I hope that it becomes very profitable for you so that you can spend more time with your beloveds.
Tops to you!
