The Mitchell Report, what did you think of it?

Hello,

Finally had a chance to sit back and do some reading other then being related to anything other then just enjoyable reading. Have not been able to read the newspaper for a few weeks just glanced at the scores and the odd article that caught my eye. One article l have been keeping an eye on has been the much talked about "The Mitchell Report", the latest of many dark clouds that has haunted the great game of baseball since the Black Sox’s Scandal back in the great depression era. Sports in general has had it’s fair share of very negative articles for as long as l have been reading the sports section of the newspaper.

The professional level in any sport is a very difficult one to make it to and then to keep your job, athletes will do anything to gain that competitive edge to keep his game at the highest level. This is where the cheating comes into play so they can have that competitive edge over the next guy. This is something that has been going on for years, most who knew about it just looked the other way, because somehow they knew it would also benefit them as well for keeping there job as coach’s, trainers, managers and as far up as owners. Who is really guilty here management, who at times may have encouraged it to a certain degree, they seen their own benefits from that player or players having a competitive edge over the next players on the other team.

Knowing all of these facts, what are your thoughts on this subject?

Where you surprised by some of the names named on the Mitchell report?

What can be done to prevent this sort of abuse and cheating in all of sports?

My thoughts on this subject if a manager, trainer coach or owner knew or had any knowledge that this was going on within his team should be banned for life from any Professional Sports and never be allow to work with athletes anywhere in the world at any level......This to me would cure the main source of the problem if an athlete has no way of getting the juice then he will not use or know how to use it........I think again it starts at the top and works it’s way down to the athelete.....I was really shocked to see some of the names mentioned in his report...............sad day in all of sports again...............
