Tech or no Tech that is the question.

Technology has taken the place of talent and reality.  No actor really looks like they do on film.  I goggle over the beautiful leading lady and she's just like all my lady friends with an air brush effect.

Many kids are making big bucks with music these days, but synthesizers, samplers, choruses and digital technology take all of the need for talent away.  The machines do all of the work.  I remember taking my daughter to see a group who will remain nameless. She was crazy about this group.  We went to the show and they were horrible.  However, the kids that were there were going crazy over this group while I could barely stand the off key sounds.

I'm not one of those old foegy [is that how you spell that?] dads who is way out of touch.  I'm a musician myself. I went to college to learn music theory and arrangement and I am even into some of the avante' garde styles of jazz and punk rock.  But this stuff was horrible.

For the past ten (10) years I have also been battling a different kind of identity theft.  It's more like a defamation of character in the grande style.  First someone I didn't know accused me of a murder.  This person did not know me either.  They said that a mutual acquaintance showed them a film of me commiting a murder.  I thought this was preposterous or to quote Big Mike Tyson, "that's ludicrous!"  But, this was no laughing matter.  This person represents what masquerades as a community of concern, but is actually some type of RED obsessed gang.

Apparently someone took a piece of film footage that I was in and combined it with scenes from what may look like a brutal murder.  I cannot say I haven't seen the film, but supposedly many others have.  I have seen over one thousand angry strangers at various times over the past ten (10) years who were ready to try and avenge some dead person that I never met.  These people forget that the late Orville Reddenbacher and Colonel Sanders are still making commercials long after their demise.  I guess no one questioned the film.  Everyone just took it for granted that this film was gospel.

Technology can good in some instances and obviously very bad in others.  Tech or no tech...That is the question.
