RFID tags are sweeping through our society like a swarm of hungry locusts. Tracking who, what, where, and when. Do you really know what this means? Do you want to arm businesses with more information about YOU? I sure don't. Many manufacturers are putting RFID tags in clothing, shoes, product labels and everything else they can fit them in. Did I mention they fit in almost everything. They use these tags to watch you! They gather valuable information about consumers, the products they buy, how much they typically spend, and all sorts of information. Let me give you a scenario. Being that Wal-Mart is pushing for RFID tags in all products they stock, we will take a trip Wal-Mart.
You just went shopping at Wal-Mart. You fill your basket with multiple grocery items, a tennis racquet, a couple DVDs, a pair of shoes, a toothbrush, a chew toy for your dog, and a magazine about fishing. You go to the register and the cashier, as unfriendly as she is, scans all of your items and places them in bags for you. Your total is $128.47. You swipe your card and the transaction is complete. Well, your end of it is. Wal-Mart has just invaded your privacy. How, you ask? Let me tell you. Every item you purchased had an RFID tag in it. These tags supplied Wal-Mart with a list of every item your purchased. The swiping of your card told Wal-Mart who you are. This information is matched up in a file that tells them WHO purchased WHAT, WHEN and WHERE.. Wal-Mart now sells that information (WHO, WHAT, WHEN, and WHERE) to marketing firms that utilize this information to TARGET you!!!! You now receive junk mail at home, in your email account, telemarketers call you. You are targeted and harassed... You are a victim.
What do you think about the marketing of today and the future?

Most definitely cash!! However the cash is getting chipped up also. RFID technology is not by any means new to me. I am surprised by how many people are still unaware of what it is and how it is being used. I work with RF tracking technology in the military and I have a small project of my own in the works to combat this. I have successfully made a device that allows me to locate, identify, track, and perform a deeper level of surveillance on a ceratin common product. Many people refer to

Don't know why everyone is all up in arms about WHEN they MIGHT do it.
They have had the technology to do this ever since stores went to Bar Codes, they don't NEED a chip or anything else.
They SCAN the bar code and unless you pay with cash, they have ALL the info they need. They have been scanning checks for quite a while now and that has all your banking info on it. Including your Name, Address, and phone number that is associated with your account. What more do you think they need?

If you live in America, then you should know that RFID technology is now being placed in you official ID card or driver's license via the "Real ID" program. All states are required to comply by 2008. Many states are fighting against this not because of the invasion of privacy or the fact that it's puts us even more at risk of identity theft, but because it "costs too much".
Forget the trip to WalMart. Imagine coming out of the store and walking by an ID thief with a scanner who just scanned

had heard about it. I think that this is the same type of chip that they have been using for pets, so if your pet gets lost, it's a quite bit easier to find them. A built in GPS system in your dogs body. This chip for humans, just holds a lot more information.
I definitely don't want this foreign thing in my body..lol,or my privacy completely stripped. YIKES!

That ain't cool!! I think that's gotta be some kind of violation of my privacy... I don't want people tracking my purchases!!! Then they sell it.. Didn't they make enough money off of me already..
