Habits that drive you nuts
Everyone has a habit...whether they are good ones or bad, we all have them.
One bad habit in my life is I tend to allow myself to become bogged down with the little details especially when I am working online, which ultimately can lead down rabbit trails. I can sometimes become so engrossed in finding the correct spelling of a word that it will lead me to second guess a larger portion of my article, blog or paragraph. When that happens, I sometimes will start completely over and when I do it becomes a whole other entity because I followed another path while I was "googling" the spelling and found even more facts to add to the article. Seriously, I can have information for 3 or 4 different articles in one little space "like this box" and have to copy/paste them into separate little documents before I finish. I have yet to decide if this is because of a quest for knowledge or a means for unfinished business. Either way, it drives me nuts. The only benefit to this bad habit is I sometimes have 2-3 complete articles or posts finished by the time I am done with one (it takes me THAT long-LOL) Sadly, sometimes I forget to copy my work and when I finally click save I find that I have been logged out and need to start over :( drives me nuts!!
So, tell me what is your habit? Good or bad. LOL

Habits that drive me nuts. Ready I start to write things out. Remember I have to do something in the other room. Go do something fold clothes pick up after the kids and come back to finish writing and then the kids come home and sorry. My bad habit is saying and when I type. Its in my head it gets typed out. Oh and biting my nails.

HI Sherri-Anne!
The funny thing is that when other people misspell or use poor grammar, it does not bother me ! I might read it and MAYBE think to myself the proper spelling but I rarely correct it....THAT would drive me nuts !! LOL Thankfully, there is grace for those of us who have bad habits. I know I need it.
I also agree with you that we all need to lighten up and speak freely regardless of grammar - LOL!
keep smiling :-)

Well, fishie this is a great article But, I do not relate to it at all. If my spell catcher does not get it, it is going in. I know this matter bothers some people terribly.
I had a woman sent me an email about an article I had posted on a lingerie website with all the improper grammar circled, she explained to me she was an editor and it drove her nuts, lol. There is so much jargon on the internet and deliberate cutesy misspellings that I thing it is okay to lighten up and speak freely.

I am also a flautist. And I was highly competitive when I was in high school (I was the one to beat...or at least try..haha)
But now as an adult because, unfortunately I do not play like I use to...not practicing, taking lessons, playing continuously like I did back then. But I will find myself if I do pick it up and play it. I will get so mad at myself that I will put it down..and I wont pick it up for a while. Which reminds me....I need to pick it back up. Lol! It was not that I gave it

Believe it or not Peaceful - I know what you are saying -LOL
words kind of have their own "music" and sometimes come out in a completely different way than what we thought we had written..what I write sometimes sounds so beautiful in my head...on paper or the screen it is simply "not so" and even could be called nonsense at times.

First off, I admire people who can find all those little details in the first place! LOL! :)
Secondly, I've been known to be a lttle bit stiff when it comes to writing the perfect phrase, trying to add intonations as they sound in my head-- Sometimes O forget the people actually have to READ this stuff, and mentally vocalise what i might be saying tone-wise!
As in writing music, this habit is the cause of many errors and erasures as I try to get it right-- Spelling and and punctuation

Mizrae! *hugs*
I think I have finally learned to save! LOL- enough lost articles due to too many trains of thought at one time :-)

HAHA Jennifer, you mean there is a name for this? Finally something I am "perfect" in - LOL
all kidding aside... I think sleeping in and working in pj's sounds absolutely lovely!! I sometimes enjoy that myself. :-)

Gosh, you sound like me! It literally takes me hours to write one blog. I have yet to get in the habit of having my notepad open so I can jot down other ideas while I'm researching the blog I'm writing. I learned my lesson real quick to "save" my work before I send it, because nine times out of ten I'm "logged" out of the site I was posting in.

lol...well I can't tell ALL my secrets. But like you, I am a perfectionist. I have gotten a lot better in the past few months..because I finally am free and can be 'myself'.
But now that all my kids are in school. I stay up late, wake up to get them off to school...and go back to sleep till 9-10 am...hehehehehe...(now for many years I had to get up at 4am)and oh yeah! I work in my pj's. Sometimes *if I go to town* I will wear normal clothes! OK that is all the secret habits about me that I am sp
