As a husband of 26 years I have come to understand that women (or at least some of them) love romantic (or what we men call "mushy") stuff.  I've been hearing it for a long time now, as you might've guessed,  but being a slow learner, it took awhile for me to grasp it.  Since then I have kept my eyes open for ideas that would bring out my romantic side :-).  In this article I am going to share a ppoem I have found on one of my many searches, it's from  the master himself, William Shakespeare.  This is for all you romantic guys out there.

This poem is not for reading so you will have to make a little effort to memorize it.   The setting must be ideal so you will have to  decide when that is, then you would ask your wife if now would be a good time for you to recite a love poem to her.  She will probable think you are coming with one of those 'roses are red' stuff, but then you surprise her with this.

Shakespeare's Love Sonnet

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Thou are more lovely and more tmperate.

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

An summer's lease hath all ltoo short a date.

Sometime to hot the eye of heaven shines,

And often is his gold complexion dimmed,

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance or nature's changing coure untrimmed.

But thy eternal summer shall not fade,

Nor lose posession of that fair thou owest,

Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade

When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st.

So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
