What is Advertising worth? What should you charge for ads on your Blogs, etc...?

I have no idea what the actual value of our ads are!

The best way to gauge this  - what to charge - is to see what other people are
charging for their ads on different areas of ASPense.

Say, someone had lots of blogs... that are viewed and that more blogs are entered daily or every other day or so... would that be worth $1.00 or $5.00 weekly or monthly? or every two weeks?

I think reasonable fees should be asked. A monthly fee for paid advertising elsewhere can be as little as $8.00/month and that is an ad in classified that is brought to the top of a list hourly seen by nearly 30,000 visitors ... How does this compare to how many times an ad on your blog or profile will be seen here?

I think it is reasonable to charge as low as a $1 for a week or two... or a bit more if you are very active here at APSense ... It would be interesting to know what people are getting for their ads! That may be a marketers business secret?

But... you can always set your ad space at auction with a minimum bid that's as high as you can imagine it being... and if you get no bites... lower it until you do?

or... use the space for your own adverts?

or... maybe I'll see if I can get some dollars from my ad spaces! other than what I'm already getting!
