This was adapted from an email that I received a few weeks ago....  I thought that it represented teamwork in a unique way.....  and I just wanted to share with everyone!!

A JD Sponsor led a prospect to two doors.

The sponsor opened the first door and the prospect looked inside. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of Cowboy Stew, made with JD's Signature Series Jerky, which smelled delicious and made the prospect's mouth water.

The prospect noticed that all the people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms.

Although each found it possible to reach into the pot of cowboy stew and take a spoonful, because the handles were longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The prospect shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

The JD Sponsor said, "You have seen Hell."

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of Cowboy Stew, made with JD's Signature Series Jerky, which made the prospect's mouth water again.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The prospect said, "I don't understand."

It is simple," said the JD sponsor.
"It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves."

Remember that our JD POWER Team will always share our spoons with you. http://jdpowerteam.com/

And here is the recipe for that awesome mouth watering Slow Cooker Cowboy Stew that Cheryl shared with everyone!! You can find a copy of it in the Feb 2007 Newsletter!! I’ve added a few things to mine since I started making it and sharing it with other JD reps & many prospects!! Enjoy!!

Slow Cooker Cowboy Stew

Ingredients:

3 to 4 TBSP Water

2- Bags of Signature Series Steak Sticks cut into 2 inch pieces

4- Potatoes, unpeeled, cut into 1 inch pieces (or use a few small red potatoes)

1- Small bag of baby carrots

½ - cup chopped onions

1- tsp salt

¼ - tsp pepper

1- can (28 oz) Baked Beans – in BBQ sauce if you want … or just regular is great too!

Directions:

1) Cover the bottom of a 3 ½ to 4 qt slow cooker with the water (just enough to cover the bottom of the slow cooker because of the dehydrated meat!!)

2) Place the other ingredients on top of each other in the order above and spoon the beans right from the can over the top of all the ingredients. Do NOT Stir!!

3) Cover & cook for 6 to 8 hours on low or until the beef, potatoes & carrots are tender!!

You will smell it all over the place!! Mmmmmmm so good!!

If you are like me … there is always a crowd around when they hear that this stew is being made … so just double or triple the ingredients and get yourself a bigger slow cooker!!
