Singer/Songwriter on APSense???....
I have signed up with APSense a few days ago and I'm still trying to figure out, if this site is actually suitable for me or not. I had a look at a lot of other people's pages and noticed that there are all kinds of online marketing and businesses for numerous products and services.
What I have not found so far is people promoting or marketing anything like music on this site. Maybe I just didn't find them but it looks like with the exception of two or three friends who are also musicians/artists which I have invited to join me on Apsense there are no other musicians, writers, composers, singer/songwriters or bands on this site.
Since I'm a singer/songwriter myself, I'm trying to obtain more interest in my music which means more people listening to my music and hopefully, if they like it buy my records or download songs from the online stores.
So if any other musicians are reading this, I would be happy if you would contact me here and let me know your experience and how you go about to promote your creative work on this site.
I found that people in this community are very kind and helpful to each other and this is really a great thing, because although everybody tries to be successful with his business they are also willing to share what they have learned with others.
I would like to give it a go on here, but I'm actually trying to find out whether I can really promote my music on here or whether this is the wrong place for that kind of thing so I can give this information on to my other friends/musicians here.
I would appreciate comments, ideas and opinions on this.

Hi Olivia,
All that means is you have a niche market, who does not like music.
The tools will help you if you wish to give a great presentation but
whatever else you do online it will compliment your activities I believe.
The Business Centre will be awesome to promote you! So use the tools
that is what I recommend. Not sure where you are up to with promoting
but I know a few people that support musicians like yourself and they do
use communities as everyone loves music, its in our blood.

This site may not be an ideal place to sell music BUT it maybe quite a good place to meet people who can give you ideas, offer some help and even work with you to build your own online music sales and distribution system ... that's how I see it!

I'm not a singer songwriter (though, I sing during my free time =P) but in the past I have looked at different music markets that pay to have them promoted and promote artists. If I can find some of them again I will let you know. Good luck to you!

There is one group that's part of AudioJam Music that you might want to consider. AudioJam Music is a music promotion site with quite a few great artists.

The group is not too active yet, but will be starting to include promotions from the artists, articles helping artists promote themselves, etc. (I've talked to the owner via email). I've recently joined and it'd be great to have you join us as well. The more the merrier:)

I suggest that you go over to lulu.com and self -publish your stuff for free, they will put it up for sale right on the site...
