Believe it or not, Christmas is right around the corner.
I am the webmaster for a very popular Christmas and winter holiday website called Operation Letters To Santa.
Each August I am reminded again just how anxious people are for the holidays to arrive. We are already getting letters from children telling us how good they have been and letting Santa know just what is on their Christmas list. The polls are being voted on every day and the visitor count is climbing at an incredible rate.
If you haven't visited Operation Letters To Santa yet, you may not have heard of Operation Santa Claus.
Operation Santa Claus is a program operated by the United States post office. It began informally in the early 1920s, when New York postal clerks began chipping in their own money to buy gifts for poor kids whose notes to Santa ended up in the dead-letter office. As the number of letters grew, the clerks asked for help from the public. If you have ever seen the movie "Miracle on 34th Street" you will immediately recognize the post office where the program began and continues to operate from today.
Operation Letters To Santa was built to bring public awareness to this incredible program.
The site has an old-fashioned, nostalgic feel and offers over 900 pages of traditions, holiday recipes, sheet music, carols, games, crafts, free downloads, beautiful desktop backgrounds for all of the winter holidays and so much more!
Please visit soon and often and if you have any questions about Operation Santa Claus  or would like to find out how to get involved, please contact us through the website. You will find a "contact us" link on every page.
Happy Holidays!
