Think out of the box!
Necessity is the mother of invention. What a true statement. Many bright entrepreneurs have become wealthy because of necessity. Think of all of the great inventions as well as some of the not so great ones. How many of you bought a pet rock in the past or have a fanny pack or many of the other ideas that people have created out of necessity. Wherever there is a need you can create a niche market.
Well that sounds all well and good but how can it help me you ask. Here is how I created my own niche market. Have you ever heard the expression "Use what you have to get what you want". I bet you have. Well my business is travel so I used travel to create more travel customers. Free samples have been a long standing method of creating customers. Let the customer see the proof and they will buy. So I began to give away a free membership to my travel club. This membership is free and entitles the member to a complimentary 4 day 3 nights Disney vacation for just signing up. That’s the sample they receive. They also get a discount on products they buy from me. You set the discount percentage. It’s okay to cut prices for a guaranteed sale. They have joined my club so hey lets make it worth their time. No we have a satisfied member that I can market any product we have in our arsenal too. They are also a great referral base as we offer more vacations for referring others. The system feeds itself. It’s a self contained ecosystem just for your own marketing purposes.
With this database the sky is the limit. How about using this database to create leads for strategic business partners? They will have a captive audience by now offering a discount to your customers for their service. How about working out an agreement with that partner for a percentage of the sale? It’s a passive income stream that will continue to grow.
