I Mind My Own Business And So Should You!
This year I will turn 59 years old. I will have been retired for 1.5 years and would love to hear from others that are working from their homes.
Unlike retirees from days gone by, my life is full and I enjoy every minute of it. I get up when I am done sleeping. I spend time with my wife and we drive around town or over the countryside. We visit neighbors, family and friends, and spend time with my grands.
Because of life’s uncertain financial demands, I have to continue to work, but I can work when I feel like it and rest when I choose to. Plus if I happen to be restless one night, I get up and work or do something productive like responding to email, scheduling activity for the upcoming week, work on my websites or some of the other things one can do when you run your business from your home. My business, my life, my way.
Working from home has enabled me to turn what was once a negative in my life to a positive too. Family time! When I worked at an office for a company, I was often travelling out of town for extended time periods. I often missed important events with my children. I hated that I was not there for them. It’s lost opportunity that I can never recapture. This year I was able to attend my granddaughter’s graduation. That was a real blessing and a delight for me. Finally, I can be the devoted father, husband and friend.
To choose to work from home is a major leap of faith. I like to call it trust. It also takes lots of courage to believe that you can have control of your life and finances and become a productive, responsible individual that can meet the demands of life and more. It is not easy to do. There are lots of things to consider very carefully. Especially if you are the provider for a spouse, your decision must be one that is supported by both parties. I am still building to the point where I am satisfied and have reached my goals.
It is important to find the right company or product to represent, which can be a chore because there are so many companies, opportunities, products and services on the Internet that are there to take your money. And you can get overwhelmed and distracted if you don't stay focused once you have made a decision. I get tons of offers on a regular basis and find I have to say NO to them. I am focused.
It also helps to have a plan that is realistic, written out and workable. I am fortunate to find the right company.
If you want to start and run a successful home-based business, you need guidance from someone that is doing it. There will always be someone that will sell you something. When I started in network marketing, I was lured into joining various programs. The trick is to find and work with the originator of the program. That way you deal directly with them and can learn how it works to make money.
If you are still looking for a great company and want to talk to me, you can send me a message and we can talk about what you are looking for and see if I can help you.
Quote:I have come to know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during one’s life; and also that every man should eat and indeed drink and see good for all his hard work. It is the gift of God. - Eccl 3: 12, 13

I like your approach to life EJ.
Your presentation above is one of the very best I have seen online in introducing yourself.
I wish you the very best in all you do. Looks like you have found the keys to a wonderful, peacefull existance, enjoying the fruits of your many years of labor.
