University Wisdom - Introduction
University Wisdom is a practical student guide for planning setting and achieving goals for personal success.
This book contains a wealth of knowledge and experience that challenges students as they work through exercises and decide for themselves, how to organise and take control of their destiny.
Discover the Secrets of Getting the Most from Your Experience at University and use them as Stepping-Stones to Launch Your Life and Career.
Hi, my name is Vanessa McCallum and I'd like to introduce my first book University Wisdom. I wrote this book because after tutoring many high school students over five years while at university myself, I became very aware of my student's lack of confidence when it came to planning for university.
Each year, my students would ask the same questions about what it was like and how they would be able to cope with the many pressures of being a uni student. University Wisdom answers all the questions through 50 chapters in an easy to understand language.
The preface of University Wisdom is written by Richard Larkins, Vice-Chancellor and President of Monash University. In it he states "This book will be an invaluable guide. It is filled with good sense. Moreover, it is written in an accessible style and is full of interest."
University Wisdom has also been reviewed by Heather Froeschl at BookReview.com. With a 4 out of 4 'Must Read' review she writes "I highly recommend this title for any high school senior, college student or parent of one."
University Wisdom focuses on ensuring the reader is fully aware and responsible for their decisions and actions once they leave high school. Encouraging a study - life balance is as high a priority as helping them face exams with confidence.
I'm really excited about helping students all over the world with this book and welcome any questions or feedback.
