People don't want to be sold to: they want buy from you

There are many many sayings out there is the sales field. I have come into contact with many Avon Representatives and other sales people who feel they have to do a sales pitch and CONVINCE you to buy their product. When it comes to the sales pitch, I say throw it in the garbage.

While I do agree that KNOWLEDGE SELLS, I also believe the saying at the top of this article, "People don't want to be sold to, but they want buy from you.." We have all been approached by the pushy salesman whom we avoid by making statements such as "just looking", no, not right now etc. We tend to avoid these pushy sales people. On the other hand the person that provides us with the knowledge of the products available and their features and let's us look around, we are more apt to buy from.

I am an Independent Avon Representative and Unit Leader in recruiting and I believe Avon is a product that sells itself along with many other names brands.

We don't need to be convinced to buy them, but we usually find something that is useful to us when we look at the products!

Self yourself and your personality. Also, sell your knowledge. Chances are your product will sell itself.
