Las Vegas Is Warming Up!!!
Las Vegas hit’s 100!
We here in Vegas are now saying it is warm. June, 1st was the 1st day this year that the official temp hit the triple digits. Other areas of Vegas have already been 100 degrees but the record books go by the airport thermometer. I happen to be closer to Lake Mead that made it to 106 yesterday. As if most of us were not dreading our electric bills enough (from running the air conditioner 24/7) the power company made an 11 percent increase. Does that mean that I will turn off my air & save on my bill? NO! Right now at 7:30 am it is 86 degrees & my air is already running. We do make sure that the windows on the sunny side have insulated foil in them, the blinds are down, & no more just running in & out.
While other online business owners are preparing for a slowdown so they can be out doors & enjoy time with their family, I am getting ready to sit inside & pump up my online time. Cait’s school work load will increase since there is nothing to do outside. Swimming in the pool right now is great but even that will come to an end soon. When the overnight temps don’t drop below 90 the pool water gets to be more like bath water.
So I guess you all will be seeing more of me around.
