Ways to Make money in or through a Money Making Forum!!

Making money in or through a forum is a fascinating subject.
Forums provide a location for like minded people to get together
and is a breeding grounds for success to anyone who uses the
tools they have.

1: Developing friends for later contact:
I would have to say first and foremost thought that your "intent"
should not be to make money through it.
Instead the "purpose" or intent should simply be to make friends and
contacts for later purposes. Developing friendships and contacts IS
the best way to make an income through a forum as a "friend" is
someone you can later turn to in order to get a new member in your
downline, possibly join a program that the friend is in that could
make you an income, or else have someone to brainstorm with.
Developing "friends" is the best way, and basically the only true way to use
a forum. The point and purpose of a forum is to get around others who are
doing what you are doing. This allows you to do a few things. One, get your
"thinking" fixed. Two, it allows you to create contacts and friends that can
teach you the areas you lack in knowledge. Most people think that success has
everything to do with the company or product being offered, but I say it is
about 20% the product and opportunity and 80% WHO YOU ARE....and forums are a
great way to help you become who you need to be in order to succeed...and that
is more money in the bank then anything else.
Develop a network of trusted people. Make friends and have a network through
which you can then promote casually even to your friend's friends.

2: Signature advertising:
As far as ways to Make money through the forum itself, using your
signature would be the most "appropriate" way as posts to threads
should be about the topic at hand, not to promote a service or product.
Blogs are best used to promote. Signatures are by far some of the most
powerful forms of advertising there is, IF you are using the forum
correctly.
Banners are another way. You can often times add a banner through the codes
in your profile page. This will become a signature like we talked about
earlier, but it displays a small banner rather then text...visually appealing.

3:Working on YOU..getting the knowledge you need to propel you to the next level:
Another way to make money through a forum is to work on promoting and
advertising YOU. YOU are what makes or breaks your business. No one else.
When it is all said and done, you failed or succeeded based on YOU,
not on anyone else. Forums can make you an income if you use them to
promote YOU. Give yourself a NAME. Become known through forums. Let
people know who you are, and what your all about.

4: Curiosity building:
Something else that can be done with forums is to create curiosity.
Let me ask you a question. If I told you EVERYTHING there is to know
about my product or offer or service, would you have any reason to go
"check it out". NO, because I already told you everything. On the other
hand if I "hinted" about something, and built up your curiosity ABOUT
that something, and refused to tell you more, but simply left a link....
guess what you are going to do...guess what ANYONE is going to do....so
curiosity is something you can build and develop through a forum which
would then send visitors to your pages and you could then make a sale,
or follow up with them.

5: Selling small info packs based on the subject at hand:
You could, if you wanted to and knew how to, without screwing up your
reputation, you could actually use the forums to sale small information.
Most people are online to "learn" or else to "discover". When people come
to a forum, they come with purpose. They are coming to SEE what they can
learn, or if they could be of help to others in that forum. You could,
if you were knowledgeable enough about the subject, actually sale inside
info to that subject and make an income in this way, however this is risky,
because if you do not know what you are doing, this could, in the end lead
to people viewing you in ways that you do not want.....just remember that
forums are for talking and discussing a subject..not promoting, but there
are times when promoting a small info pack or other type of thing is
appropriate.
Also if you are not knowledgeable to start with again Take the knowledge
you LEARN from the forums and SALE IT...people NEED knowledge. Be careful
of plagiarism here though (never copy/paste a post and sale it, instead
take what you learned and create an info pack in your own words to be sold
on other sites..not at that forum..the forum was simply the grounds through
which the knowledge was acquired.

6) Become a teacher:
Are you an EXPERT on the topic? SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE. People
will then look up to you and in most cases follow you into new opportunities.

7)Forums - An Opportunity For Personal Development:
There are well known methods for using forums to profit, such as signature
links, gaining backlinks for Page Rank, building relationships, learning
from veterans, and more. However, one area that may be overlooked by many
is the opportunity for personal development. The most legitimate method
of building a web site and gaining traffic involves writing original content.
Content for your own site and content for articles that are submitted to
directories and ezines. Many people have not taken the time to develop their
writing ability and often rely on duplicate content. Of course, that can be
a problem if you are trying to get a better search engine ranking. The great
thing about forums is that it is a natural environment for developing your
writing skills. Maybe you start by posting a few sentences and build up to a
few paragraphs.
As you gain confidence and ability with your writing, it opens a door to
endless opportunities online. The internet is all about quality information
and the more able you are to communicate through writing, the more equipped
you will be to write your own original articles, website content, or e-books.
This can translate directly into an income and even though it may not seem
as tangible at first, it can ultimately be the most valuable thing that a
forum has to offer.
