In Honor of my son & all who serve or have served our Country

My son Nathan, joined the Army right after graduating High School since he had a strong desire to see more of the world and he wasn't ready to commit to 4 more years of school going to college yet. He'd wanted to be an Air Force pilot all his life. But being 6'6" he was told he was too tall & came home to tell me he'd joined the Army instead.

Nathan did a lot of his service overseas, the worst time (for me anyway) was his tour in Bosnia. However, I thank God every day he came back alive & whole.

Since today is Memorial Day, please take a few minutes of your time to thank those in your family & friends circles who served our country at any time. These are very remarkable people. Honor those who died for us, as I will honor my Dad, grandpa & even my ex-husband. One of my best friends also served & I've already thanked Janet.

Regardless of the political climate or what else is happening in the world, regardless of your views on the war or whatever, these people still deserve our respect, love & admiration.
