A skeptic's journal day 1
You would probably have to know me, to know how sick to death I was of marketing online. Yes, I was sick of it and I was one of the successful ones. The important thing to me this time last month, was my new marraige and my family. I had left network marketing and online marketing behind almost three years ago. I had been a successful group leader in several companies, generated and sold my own leads, published newsletters and sold thousands of affiliate products online. I even ran my own affiliate program. You only need one shoddy business partner to sour the rest of your taste for that business.
I spent the last three years marketing ebooks online for myself and others, went through a pretty lengthy divorce, found God (actually, he found me and slapped me up-side the head) and got married to one of my online business constituents this past February. Getting back into network marketing, especially with yet another health supplement company was the FURTHEST THING from my mind.
Imagine my surprise (and indigestion) when my mother started talking about some new supplements she was taking. Imagine my horror when she told me I would have to sign up as a distributor to get them. (Yeah, right . . . no way, beentheredonethat! Forget it!)
My mother. She was R-E-L-E-N-T-L-E-S-S! She kept calling me and telling me how great they were.
My mother is a type-2 diabetic. She is also a heart patient with a previous congestive heart failure on her dosier. I listened to each phone call (sometimes with a slight rolling of the eyes), when she would give me her updates from her doctor's visits.
Her blood sugar began to improve. Her energy improved (she's 63 years old). She had to stop taking her water pills and her eyesight was clearing up. I heartlessly told her when she can do a full cartwheel in the yard, I will buy. (I can't even do one anymore and I'm 42)
Whatever what happening to her, whatever she was taking, it was doing something. Enough for even my grandfather to start taking them (he's 92, just for the record). After she got my narcissistic brother to get involved I finally said . . . "Okay mom . . . I'll listen to a phone call. Sure, three-way me in."
I sat down at my kitchen table and began listening to what I was sure was going to be a hyped-up, boring, unrealistic "sizzle" call. I got my glass of iced tea (only thing I drink besides water, so I must be healthy, right???), something to snack on, and my notepad and pen.
What the call turned out to be was a very interesting information call conducted by the biochemist who developed the liquid supplement, about what sugars and artificial sweetners do to your body. It was about how much of the stuff is packed into our every day food and drinks. It was about how artificial sweetners chemically make your body believe it is producing it's own natural insulin when it isn't.
Halfway through the call, I was dumping out my glass of iced tea and pouring water.
It was after that phone call I decided to try the product. I would give it two months and test it for myself.
It is hear that I will be posting my results. I am due for surgery for a hysterectomy next friday (May 25th). I will have my physical and lab work done on Monday, the 21st, so this is a good time to record before and after with blood pressure, cholesterol levels, heart rate, etc.
I will also post about the business opportunity as I learn it.
This is my Trilogy Diary. If I get results anywhere close to what my family members are experiencing . . . I will definately be telling you about it.
Stay tuned . . . should prove interesting!
