Creator of the original SoberRecovery.com, The Treatment Directory.com and literally dozens of Addictions and Mental Health Support sites, I launched SoberRecovery as a single page of links on a borrowed computer in 2000. It became the most visited site of its kind with over 50,000 pages, 35,000+ community members and more than 10,000 unique visitors each weekday. After over 6 years my network of sites had become far too big to maintain by myself; The SoberRecovery Network of sites was sold in mid-2006. After 6+ years of 15+ hour days, I spent the entire next 365 days offline.
An award-winning Journalist and Columnist in 1999 and 2000, I recently returned to writing, re-purposing PLR articles into unique, relevant content all the while attempting to maintain a small but loyal client base as a consultant for all things content, traffic and links.
The Desert Marketing Group is my Palm Springs based Small Business Online Marketing firm. Our focus has shifted from corporate SEO/SEM on a national level to helping local small business owners acquire a big Internet presence. Specializing in traffic and content generation, I accomplish these through website analysis and reporting, then taking that research and applying it to website re-design, blog building, online press releases, Search Engine Optimization, link building campaigns as well as Twitter and Facebook integration.
