As this is a guide that mainly talks about items, if you want to
know the repair function of NPC, just search DFO NPCs Function Guide to
find my other guide about DFO NPC.
Magic
Seals and Disassembling would be in this category, but they were
discussed before. Let’s start with everyone’s most interested function,
reinforcement. There is an NPC named Kiri who can help you
make your item reinforced, or you will know that this is the ‘upgraded’ function.
The value of reinforcement is below.
*1)
you can get defensive attributes on your armor. Or you can get piercing
values to physical or magic attributes. The higher the reinforcement,
the more exponential the benefits you can get. So a +14 would be
exponentially stronger than a +12.
However, there are cons. There are some cons of
this method. The main one being there is
a chance
of failure. Beyond +10, your equip can break entirely in fact. Failing
before +10 would just revert your reinforcement by a few upgrades (e.g.
+9
becomes + 6). You can
buy DFO gold
to cover the cost to ask NPC help you. And it’s a huge gold sink as
each reinforcement also costs a ton of gold. Not to mention each upgrade
costs clear cube frags (10 more per each reinforcement so to get to
+10, you’d need 100, while +11 would cost 110).
There is a ton of luck involved as well.
The chance
of success lowers every upgrade you succeed so getting a +15 or +16
would cost an astronomical figure unless extremely lucky. It is
suggested that you do not upgrade your weapon until at the end of the
game. And another key fact is that reinforcement helps out percentage
skills mainly. Suju Reinforcement helps out
fixed mainly. If you don’t know these terms, refer to part 2! I think sometimes it costs some
DFO gold to ask NPC help you.
Eventually,
I plan to detail the specifics of Kiri/Suju, but as this is a
beginner’s guide, there’s no need to just yet. Getting too
detailed would be an advanced topic.
2) Besides, Crafting items is to modify items for you. Obviously, many players know players can craft some basic
materials into different materials, which comes in handy for quests which need these various materials.
There
are two ways for crafting. One is to go to Seria to craft it up with
her, and the other is to go to Roger. One thing I should mention is that
Seria is technically more expensive than Roger. Even, Seria is not
really crafting materials. Just as you can sell crafted items for
the basic ones. I think you can use DFO gold to
buy from other players. For more crafting options, you should go to Roger.
