You can choose "offline" if you want Skype to not distract you. There's a dropdown list to the left of your name.

Absolutely NOT and I have mine set to Online status 24/7 so anyone can leave me a message even when I am not there. If and when I ever reach the point that communicating with a fellow marketer becomes a distraction I can always remove them from my list with a couple of clicks, but that has seldom happened in the last decade I have used it.

I agree with you Warren. The only difference for me is that when I am making calls or doing a webinar I will set it to "Do Not Disturb". I think it is a great biz tool :)

Thanks Philippe! You are always so very helpful.

You're welcome, Patty :)

In fact, I only took the time a few weeks ago to discover the behavior of Skype when choosing "offline" vs "invisible"
