So google keeps pressing onward with the penguin changes and every day more and more people report losing rankings over it.

Are you being affected at all?

I certainly am.... in a good way. A lot of sites competing for the same keywords as me, are suddenly dropping massively in ranks which definitely increases my rankings a bit.

Are you feeling it... good? or bad? or not at all?

i am not really affected ..as yet, simply because i don't really understand all of it...as yet...but obviously its good for some people ...and others who lose ranks wouldnot be so excited.

I have been affected in a very positive way. My ranking for certain keywords have increased due to Panda and Penguin. I am glad they are doing a massive clean up!

Not affected at all. In fact just as you say these changes can boost your own SERP results...go Google and clean up the mess

Sevinj, what you need to realize is.... if some businesses are dropping in SERP that means others are moving up. If 5 sites listed before me in the SERP's are all dropped in rankings, that means I move up 5 spots.

Agreed Bruce...and Sevinj the whole movement of Google was never just on unnatural link building, Back in the Day of Panda we saw many false PPC ads disappear overnight and then Penguin went deeper into the link farms that had risen to provide link juice to your site and theirs...Google are "on the ball" to constantly tweak there automated Algorithm for acceptance to listing and perhaps indexing on Google SERP pages

Yes I have been affected one site dropped right out and now is on page 3. Lets be honest Google wanted exact match anchor texts now they want varied. Google liked exact match domains now they don't but they still love you tube do you think that the reason for that is partly because they own it. Anyway things always change you just have to stay positive and adapt.

Nick, I am not sure I agree. If we were to be honest, google wants people stop trying to do things that will give them rankings., Google has always wanted website owners to focus on their websites and their marketing but ignore the search engine side of things. Google has said that since day one.

The truth is people have forced google to somewhat accept things, but google still proves it holds the upper hand by changing the rules from time to time. Those who are least affected, are the people who don't try to get rankings at all - but rather let the come naturally.

Exact Match Anchors vs Relevant Matched Anchors is all in how you use the language and what you provide in that anchor. All Google wants is a SERP page that includes relevant quality information and eliminate all the false irrelative links.
