Free advertising is NOT easy to use for advertising. Most people that find success with free advertising are actually using those sites for marketing more than advertising.

What works best heavily depends on your niche, your personality, and a few other factors.

If you are looking for free traffic, there is only one way to ever be sure of anything. Track your results, trial and error, and drop sites that don't perform well.

I find that Traffic Ad Bar and Tabzi bring me consistent sign ups and leads. You can also use free ezine advertising as well. There are also adboards, free classified ads, safelists, and other traffic exchanges. You can look up directories for these sites or search under "free classifieds, free ads, free advertising, or free ezine ads" in the search bar.

When it comes to online advertising, the best free advertising is where your ad is going to earn you the targeted traffic you should be trying to pull to your site.

For example, gaining a free banner ad at the top of this group would be much more beneficial to a marketing company then it would to a gaming company because of the subject.

So, IMHO if you can gain free advertising which will be seen by a good amount of people interested in what your advertising, never turn it down unless you have good reason.
