An interesting about Linkedin

Last week I want to find an people but I don't know where he is,I sent his name and Country in the searcher of Linkedin,it made me suprised that linkedin found him out of Linkedin network,and then I sent an invitation to him.Linkedin has a strong searcher,I think it's one reason of its success.

This may seem cool to you, but the truth is... this is normal. Go search facebook and the same thing is the case, its just setup a little different.

When you search facebook, first people are listed, then pages, then apps, then at the very bottom it will say "serch the web" with some web results.

Twitter doesn't do this but they are one of the few social networks I know of who don't. Most networks include search results.

Re-reading the question I could take what you said many different ways and not sure my answer/reply is what you were talking about.
